Prepare for a blast from the past as Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk announce their reunion for a new Hot Boys album.
Juvenile excitedly shared the news over the weekend on Instagram Live, revealing plans for a Hot Boys reunion performance at Essence Fest in New Orleans in July, alongside Mannie Fresh and Birdman. “Hot Boys is back together, man,” Juvenile declared. “Me, Wayne, Turk and B.G., all of us gonna be on stage in New Orleans.”
While the group’s reunion has been long-awaited, tensions between Lil Wayne and B.G. surfaced after B.G.’s release from prison. However, B.G. clarified his lyrics dissing Wayne, emphasizing their complicated relationship and expressing love and respect for his “little brother.”
Despite the ups and downs, both B.G. and Juvenile have confirmed a Hot Boys reunion tour, with Wayne discussing plans during an appearance on YG’s 4HUNNID Podcast. Logistical issues regarding B.G.’s post-release conditions have been the primary obstacle, but the group remains hopeful.
As for the Essence Fest performance, it marks a 30-year celebration of Cash Money Records and promises to be a memorable event for fans of the iconic label.
